Less than 2 weeks to the 40th Annual Annie Awards! The excitement is building and my dress is getting closer to the red carpet, stitch by stitch!
Actually, my Pizzano design took a special, multi-needle machine to sew & create several 3-dimensional panels. The design is a work of art, the likes of which I’ve never seen! Each panel is then sewn to the bodice. At this fitting, I was pinned into the dress and then Alina shaved the panels to form the image she has in mind, like shaping a flowing sculpture. I sure hope she’s thinking of Jessica Rabbit. Talk about a dress taking shape! This week’s fitting will see all the panels sewn on and groomed. We will also start choosing shoes and jewelry. I believe Alina has found a jewelry designer. I can’t wait to meet her!
